Whoa! It's been a while!

Want a bite of my pickle?

Just taking some notes in his pirate notebook.
He didn't even know I was taking this picture. He was playing on a playscape and singing at the top of his lungs. I love this about him!

So the monkey is freakin' awesome! He's sooooo smart and funny and I love him more than I ever thought I could. He sings songs, dances, tells stories and lives life to the fullest. We could all learn a lesson from him!

We're starting "school" next Monday. For about an hour a day we'll work on a different subject each day, including letters, numbers, colors and different "fun" subjects like music and art. We're going to try to take at least one field trip each week. Sometimes the trip might be to Target, but hey, it gets us out of the house.

He loves Christmas. Christmas movies, Christmas songs, the whole shabang! That's how I know he's my kid. ;-)

Yesterday we put up the "decorations fall" as Ewan refers to them and Ewan wanted to also decorate for Halloween and start wearing his Halloween costume...which, by the way, we don't even have all together yet. So instead he wore his Woody costume to church.

It's fun being Ewan's mom and I will never get tired of saying how lucky I am!

Some random pics & updates.

So, sometime in the past week or so, our son has crossed over into boyhood from toddlerhood. I love this kid so much but I am really missing the baby days.

He's really starting to speak very clearly, he sings lots of songs and has a memory like a steel trap!

Here are a couple of recent pictures.

Our little superhero

As I finished putting Ewan's jammies on him last night he begged me to put his "unnerpants" on, too. I have a hard time saying no to him so this is the result.
He's fake sleeping in this first one. Snoring and all.

Kissing his baby diney goodnight.

Super Jammie Man!

Welcome back!

Ok, I wrote this post then added pictures but it's in backwards order. Try reading from the bottom up, I'm too lazy to sort it all out.

Ewan got a drumset from Grammie. It's still at Grammie's house. ;-)

All tuckered out from present opening.

I'll just finish up these cookies Santa left behind.

The helmet and tricycle Ewan got from Santa.

I see Santa out dere?

Here's a picture for you, Santa!

Getting the cookies ready for Santa.

Hi friends! Sorry I haven't posted lately. We've been really busy with the holidays, a wedding we shot, trying to sell our house and finding a new house.

Ewan is growing and learning every single day. He sings LOTS of songs now and sometimes even makes up his own. He feeds himself with a fork and spoon, he has a great imagination, he helps pick up his toys (after we ask him to do it seven times, of course), he has a great memory and can "read" several of his favorite books to us, he counts to ten (including 4, now), is starting to recognize a few letters (he sings the entire alphabet) and can spell his first name.

He's almost 37 inches tall and hovers around 35 or 36 lbs.

Thanks for checking in!

Family time in Sarnia.

Here are a few photos from our visit to Sarnia on Sunday night. We had a lot of fun with Papa Ernie, Cindy, Unkie Mike, Steph, Ash, Stacey, Kenny and Joey & Clover. Thanks to Cindy for the photos. I was too busy freezing to bother with the camera. ;-)

Hear Ewan say his prayers...and ask to watch Elf afterwards.

(It's very dark because we're in his bedroom getting ready for bed. You can still hear him, though if you turn up your speakers a bit. lol)
